Okay tennis is a sport, but string pattern is everything. You’re right 14 by 16 you’d be hitting out more, but only with 95 sq in to oversize. The smallest head size gives the most control. I only use midsize. Ball bite is an alternate means of control, besides most players use Luxilon Big Banger string. You’ll get enough control.

Look at Federer and Sampras, they won the most slams using midsize racquets with the same somewhat open string patterns – 16 mains, 18 crosses. The pro staff. If the racquet had 14 mains by 16 crosses spread apart on the racquet, A player using it would be able to generate twice the amount of spin! Also more swing speed due to less blockage.
